This site formerly housed the Clapton Business Centre, a low-rent home for local small businesses.

It’s former owner had failed to invest in the property and it had become run-down and poorly performing. It was bought by a property developer to house his son’s graphic design business, and provide both homes and offices for Hackney’s creative young professionals. Using a Planning Consultant a change of use, from office to residential was obtained under “permitted development” for the first and second floors.
